Customers of Decatur Utilities will see a new and improved online account portal come Monday, July 15th when SmartHub becomes available.
Using SmartHub, customers can create an online account where they can view their bill, analyze historical usage data, send messages to DU, receive notifications from DU, make payments and more. The former system, CustomerConnect, will no longer be available and all customers will need to register for SmartHub access. It will be available starting Monday, July 15th via the DU website, www.decaturutilities.com or as an app on Apple and Android mobile devices.
Customers will also receive a newly formatted billing statement beginning in July. A reference guide for how to read the new bill format will be included with the July bill.
DU is also replacing kiosks at its Main Office on Central Parkway. Customers can access their account and pay bills at the new kiosks using the QR code on their billing statement or by entering their NEW DU account number found on billing statements starting in July.
Note during this transition:
The standalone kiosk in the south end of the parking lot will be unavailable until Monday, July 15th.
The lobby kiosk will be unavailable from mid-day on Thursday, July 11th until Monday, July 15th.
The drive-thru kiosk will be unavailable from mid-day on Thursday, July 11th through Monday, July 22nd.
Online and phone payments will be unavailable from 5 p.m. Friday, July 12th through Monday, July 15th.
