DU Natural Gas Rebates

• DU offers a variety of rebates for clean, efficient natural gas appliances*.

• All rebates (with the exception of the additional conversion incentive) are available for NEW and EXISTING homes. 

• • Water Heater (Tank) - Up to two​

    • $200 if retaining a natural gas water heater - Up to two

    • $400 if converting from electricity to natural gas - Up to two (EXTENDED to 12/31/23)

  • ​Water Heater (Tankless) - Up to two​

    • $300 if retaining a natural gas water heater - Up to two

    • $500 if converting from electricity to natural gas - Up to two (EXTENDED to 12/31/23)

  • Furnace  (Up to two)

    • $250

  • Natural Gas logs

    • $50

  • Standard or Commercial range

    • $100

  • Clothes Dryer

    • $150

  • Two-mantle Light

    • $50

  • Open Flame Light

• Don't have Natural Gas Service yet?

  • DU will install the Natural Gas service line for your home at no charge (up to 300 feet).

  • A certified Natural Gas plumber will have to install your internal piping and appliances.

  • If you are inside the City of Decatur Police Jurisdiction, the Decatur Building Department will inspect and approve your installation prior to DU turning on your Natural Gas service.

  • Call DU Customer Service to verify Natural Gas is available at your address.

* Rebate applies to new natural gas appliances purchased at retail store or included in package provided by licensed natural gas contractor.
