Lineman Full-Time Position
Constructs, maintains and repairs all overhead and underground distribution lines, service lines, sub-transmission lines and substation equipment. Valid Alabama Driver’s License with Class A CDL; approved Journey Lineworker Certification; CPR/First Aid Certification; Customer Service Skills and applicable safety training. Meter Reader ($14.61/hour)
Reads electric, gas, water and wastewater consumption meters and records volume used by residential, commercial and industrial customers. See job description for more detail.
Part-Time Payment Rep ($13.27/hour)
Receives legal tender from customers in payment for utility services and maintains a high degree of accuracy in money transactions and computer data entry tasks. Flexibility is essential. The typical schedule is 3 days a week alternating between Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and Monday, Thursday and Friday. See job description for more detail.
Lineman Apprentice ($17.81/hour)
Constructs, maintains and repairs electric system as apprentice-in-training for the position of Lineman.
Valid Alabama Driver’s License with Class A CDL within first 6 months in apprentice program; Department of Labor Lineman Apprenticeship Certification; CPR/First Aid Certification; Customer Service Skills and applicable safety training.
